Reddit has moved on from Android 8 in Latest Update of Feb 2024

Reddit is a social news and entertainment website where users can submit, vote, and read articles. It’s one of the most popular websites on the internet, with over 1 billion monthly active users. 

People use Reddit to get information on a wide variety of topics, from entertainment to news. Reddit also has dedicated sections for different industries, such as technology, gaming, and parenting.

On Mar 25th of 2022, Reddit released the latest update on Android which shows that Reddit has moved on from Android 6 i.e Marshmallow now and has limited support till Android 7 which is Nougat.

Reddit had more than 330 Million Monthly Active Users according to Foundation inc in 2018. According to SimilarWeb, it has more than 1.5 Billion monthly users worldwide on the website including Desktop, mobile and tablet users.

As of Feb 2024, Reddit has created a requirement of at least android 8 for the android app.
